Unity in the Community – Food/Supplies Collection

We Can Lead Change and Fox Valley Rising will be collecting food & supplies for families in crisis. Your donations will go directly to families facing hardship. Let’s show up for our immigrant neighbors. For more information, go to WCLC Events page or scroll down.

Your donations will go directly to families facing hardship, helping them find stability and dignity during uncertain times.

No need to RSVP – just show up!!

Bring your donations to one of the following locations before Noon on Saturday, October 11th:

• United Methodist Church of Geneva, Parking lot behind 211 Hamilton, Geneva
• Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Parking lot, 1145 N 5th Avenue, St. Charles
• Congregational Church, 21 S Batavia Ave, Parking lot,Batavia, IL 60510
• Silver Glen Crossing, Public Parking lot , Silver Glen and Randall Roads, South Elgin, 60177

Pantry Items:

• Maseca
• Dry chiles
• Onions
• Potatoes
• Dry beans (pinto, black)
• Lentils
• Dry rice (medium or long grain)
• Pasta for soups (found in the Hispanic foods section)
• Sugar
• Salt
• Cooking oil
• Bread
• Oatmeal
• Corn and flour tortillas
• Flour (for making tortillas)
• Lard (for making tortillas)

Toiletries & Household Essentials:

• Laundry detergent (liquid or powder)
• Shampoo and conditioner (especially in family-sized bottles)
• Deodorant (spray or solid)
• Maxi pads and panty liners
• Bar soap and liquid body wash
• Diapers (sizes 4–6)
• Baby wipes
• Toilet paper
• Dish soap
• Hand soap (bar or liquid)
• Cleaning supplies (multi-purpose cleaners, sponges, disinfectant wipes)
• Disposable razors
• Hair gel or hair oil
• Combs and brushes
• Vapor rub (like Vicks)
• Feminine hygiene wipes
