URGENT HELP NEEDED FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS AFFECTED BY ICE RAIDS! FOOD AND SUPPLIES DRIVE !! (List below)
Batavia Township Democrats’ Good Trouble Club is supporting the ELGIN RAPID RESPONSE TEAM and community members displaced by ICE with a food and supplies collection.
This effort is part of the August 16th National Day of Action- ” Stop the power grab”

Your donations will go directly to families facing hardship, helping them find stability and dignity during uncertain times.

- Dry beans (pinto, black)
- Lentils
- Dry rice (medium or long grain)
- Pasta for soups (found in the Hispanic foods section)
- Canned tomatoes (any type)
- Canned corn
- Cooking oil
- Bread
- Corn and flour tortillas
- Flour (for making tortillas)
Toiletries & Household Essentials:
- Toothpaste (including for kids)
- Shampoo and conditioner (especially in family-sized bottles)
- Bar soap and liquid body wash
- Deodorant (spray or solid)
- Maxi pads and panty liners
- Diapers (sizes 2–6)
- Baby wipes
- Toilet paper
- Laundry detergent (liquid or powder)
- Dish soap
- Hand soap (bar or liquid)
- Cleaning supplies (multi-purpose cleaners, sponges, disinfectant wipes)
- Disposable razors
- Hair gel or hair oil
- Combs and brushes
- Vapor rub (like Vicks)
- Feminine hygiene wipes
