SUMMARY:Pink Slips for Trump
DESCRIPTION:PINK SLIPS FOR *Rump – March 15th – \nSpread the word! \nAn organized mail-in event\, (The Ides of Trump) inundating the White House with post cards to Trump\, letting him know he does not have our support. \nHere are two links that can help with creating Trump “you’re fired” postcards. Just copy and paste into your browser. Pink card stock is available if you want to get really fancy! \nhttps://www.obairlann.net/reaper/blosxom.cgi/2017/02/09 \nhttps://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1UH1EHBL6WMPqDJ7Ge5sBWd8qztTst9hjjcRWTQuqyZc/edit#slide=id.p \nOn March 15th\, mail Donald Trump a postcard that publicly expressing our opposition to him. And we\, in vast numbers\, from all corners of the world\, will overwhelm the man with his unpopularity and failure. We will show the media and the politicians what standing with him — and against us — means. And most importantly\, we will bury the White House post office in pink slips\, all informing Donnie that he’s fired. Each of us — every protester from every march\, each congress calling citizen\, every boycotter\, volunteer\, donor\, and petition signer — if each of us writes even a single postcard and we put them all in the mail on the same day\, March 15th\, well: you do the math. No alternative fact or Russian translation will explain away our record-breaking\, officially-verifiable\, warehouse-filling flood of fury. Hank Aaron currently holds the record for fan mail\, having received 900\,000 pieces in a year. We’re setting a new record: over a million pieces in a day\, with not a single nice thing to say. So sharpen your wit\, unsheathe your writing implements\, and see if your sincerest ill-wishes can pierce Donald’s famously thin skin. Prepare for March 15th\, 2025\, a day hereafter to be known as #TheIdesOfTrump Write one postcard. Write a dozen! Take a picture and post it on social media tagged with #TheIdesOfTrump ! Spread the word! Everyone on Earth should let Donnie know how he’s doing. They can’t build a wall high enough to stop the mail. On March 15th\, mail your messages to: President (for now) Donald J. Trump The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington\, DC 20500 It might just be enough to make him crack or at least stress him out. He needs to know exactly where we\, The American People\, stand!

SUMMARY:Kane County Tax Referendum Town Hall
DESCRIPTION:Representatives of the Kane County Board will host several public meetings to present educational information regarding the proposed Special County Retailer’s Occupation Tax Referendum. In September 2024\, the Kane County Board approved placing this measure on the April 1\, 2025\, election ballot to ask voters whether or not to establish a 0.75% sales tax dedicated exclusively to funding essential public safety services. SUMMARY:Lauren Underwood Virtual Town Hall
DESCRIPTION:This Saturday 2/22/2025 at 11:30 AM CST\, I’m hosting a special Virtual Town Hall for constituents. Click here to sign up to join us. \nHi Neighbor\, \nThe Trump Administration’s flurry of executive orders and policy actions are harming our community\, and they are an attack on the values that make the 14th District so strong. The President’s actions have done nothing to lower costs for working families and his policy priorities are vastly out of step with northern Illinoisans. \nAs your representative in Congress\, I want you to know that I am fully committed and focused on protecting our values and our fundamental rights in this moment. \nThere are more than 70 pending lawsuits against the Trump Administration’s executive orders and administrative actions\, and House Democrats are using every tool in our toolbox to keep our communities safe. \nKeeping you informed is part of that commitment and a top priority of mine. I wanted to make sure you received an invitation to a special event I am hosting this Saturday\, February 22 at 11:30 AM CST: \nJoin me for a special Virtual Town Hall meeting. I’ll provide an overview of everything House Democrats are doing to protect our community from these harmful executive orders\, take your questions\, and together we’ll have a conversation about the path forward.   \nI hope to have your voice at the table! \nPlease click here to sign up to receive a phone call once the event begins.
