DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendar and join us for the St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday\, March 15th. \nWe are looking for some energetic young people aged 9-10 and up through teens to be a part of a small dance ensemble to march to some fun upbeat music.  We have a dance instructor who will put together some “marching dance” moves as we frolic down Route 64 in downtown St. Charles.  Please email saintcharlestownshipdems@gmail.com to let us know if any of your kiddos are interested! \nSome of our elected officials will be on hand and many candidates running in our municipal election will be marching as well!  Step off is at 2:00 p.m. but we will gather an hour early for pictures and instructions. \nLet me know if you have further questions.  We hope you can join in to make it festive and fun! \n\nImportant Parade Information Below\nYour assigned entry in the parade is number 64 \nPlease locate your # on the map below. \nCLICK HERE FOR MAP \nImportant Information:\n\nPlease plan on arriving at 12:30 p.m. \n\n\n\nOnly parade vehicles & units are allowed in the line-up area. \nAll drop-offs must be made outside the line-up area off Illinois Street or South 7th Street.\n\n\n\n\nThe parade will start at 2:00 p.m.  SHARP.\nParade Marshals will be available at each intersection to help you.  They will be wearing neon yellow vests.\nPLEASE pay attention to our Parade Pacers who will also be wearing neon yellow vests.  They are responsible for ensuring the pace of the parade.\nRestrooms will be located at South 6thStreet in Parking Lot D and at the corner of North 6th Street and Main Street in the parking lot.\n\nPlease refer to the Lucky and Unlucky List below for KEY parade policies. \nLUCKY & UNLUCKY Kane County Democrats LIST \n\nFor the safety of our parade\, you may hand out candy\, however\, throwing any item is NOT permitted.\n\nAt the end of the parade route:\n\nAll marching bands will exit north on 4th Avenue\nAll vehicles will exit south on 4th Avenue\nVery large vehicles will either exit east on Main Street or south on 4th Avenue\nThis is subject to change – Please follow directions of POLICE at end of parade route\nAll riders must exit vehicles and floats past Walnut Avenue as QUICKLY as possible to keep the flow of the parade moving\nThe parade will not be canceled for any reason.  Please dress appropriately for inclement weather.\nRestrooms will be located at South 6thStreet in Parking Lot D and at the corner of North 6th Street and Main Street in the parking lot.\n\nWe’re looking forward to seeing you on Saturday\, March 15th! \nEnjoy the parade and THANK YOU for participating!! \nFacebook event listing
