Our movement is rooted in non-violence\, but it is far from passive. We stand strong\, bold\, and unyielding\, showing the world the irresistible force of communities united against injustice. \nAlone we can be silenced. Our goal is to spread positivity about the Party among the community while showing support for our candidates. \nHere’s the plan: Arrive 1.5 hours in advance to decorate the car\, march in the parade\, then stay after about a 1/2 hour to help us clean up. \nThese are the roles we need to fill for the parade: 1 person to plan logistics (Project Manager) – where to park\, where to meet\, what color we should wear\, handle communications with the parade team \n\n1 person for Video/Photographer\n2 people to distribute candy\n2 people to hold Western Kane Democrats Banner\n1 person to hold the American Flag\n5+ people to hold issue/candidate signs\n2 people to coordinate candidate/representative communication\n1 person who has a truck that we can decorate and will drive during the parade\n1 person to work with members\, other townships\, and groups to make sure we have a lot of people marching\n\nYou will be asked to dress in a certain color (probably something festive). DESCRIPTION:In light of the current situation with the Texas Lawmakers under attack\, we are going to host an emergency rally/protest Saturday\, August 16 from 11:30– 1:00 at Silver Glen and Randall Road\, South Elgin. \nTime & Location\nAug 16\, 2025\, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM \nSouth Elgin\, Silver Glen Rd & Randall Rd\, South Elgin\, IL 60177 \nRSVP \nAbout the event\nIn light of the current situation with the Texas Lawmakers under attack\, we are going to host an emergency rally/protest Saturday\, August 16 from 11:30 – 1:00 at Silver Glen and Randall Road\, South Elgin. \nWe realize this is short notice but we are living in unprecedented times and need to step up when we can. Please plan to bring your signs\, flags and energy – and someone new. Let’s have a huge turn out – and get more people involved!! Remember this is a peaceful rally – and we won’t be distracted from our message! \nThere is parking throughout the shopping center adjacent to the rally site. Please consider not parking in open small business’ areas. \nPlease consider visiting the stores in that center.
