Support Our Kane County Board @ Kane County Democrats Office
Mar 4 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

If you are interested in supporting your county board, please attend a meeting on Monday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Kane County Dems office. 473 Dunham Road – Suite 102. Invite friends who may show interest in supporting this board.

I am writing to seek your help and support for our County Board.  There is an active group of people attending the county monthly board meetings who are agitators and disrupters and are preventing the board from doing the governing of the county.  These groups like, Moms for liberty, Three headed Eagle, Warriors among others want to keep government small and not spend money on any services EVER.  They were successful in making enough noise to keep the board from voting for a badly needed tax levy for county services. They are winning the battle by just showing up! The county will run out of reserves in two years and will struggle to maintain the services we have come to expect in our beautiful community.

There are new concerns and issues that need addressing but this group of people are at every meeting to make sure not one dime is spent.  There has not been any opposing perspectives from the public and the board is inclined to listen to the loudest voices.   We would like to build a bench of volunteers to help support our county board members. What do we need from you?

If you or someone you know could:

  • Attend meetings to be present and show support
  • Make signs and hold them up during the meetings around various issues
  • Sign up and speak during public comments
  • Write letters to the board in support of various initiatives
  • Post on Social Media/ Nextdoor App

The board and various subcommittees meet 4 or 5 times a month. The meetings are during the mornings/day so it requires individuals who have weekday flexibility.

We will hold a meeting of those interested in hearing more about what the County Board’s issues are and what they are proposing and strategies to support them ongoing.

Meeting scheduled for Monday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Kane County Dems office:
473 Dunham Road
Suite 102
Saint Charles, IL 60174
