He held the longest on-air TV news job in the history of Chicago’s WMAQ-TV, (Channel Five) until his retirement last year. For over thirty-eight years, Mr. Kay reported on virtually every significant local and national political event. In addition, he was the host of Channel Five’s outstanding political program, “City Desk”. Dick Kay is also a consultant in media training. We are gearing up for our biggest fundraising event of the year, the Harry S. Truman Dinner. The Truman Dinner is a great way to meet fellow Democrats from the area and to help support the Kane County Democrats. There are several guest speakers invited including: Senator Richard Durbin, Governor Quinn, State Senators Mike Noland and Linda Holmes, as well as State House Representatives Linda Chapa-Lavia and Keith Farnham.
